Public buildings serve many people with different needs, so partitioning must be accessible, durable and compliant. Typical work includes open-plan office reconfiguration, private interview rooms for confidential conversations with residents and service users, meeting rooms, reception screens and staff areas. Glass keeps public areas open, bright and welcoming, while acoustic partitions protect confidential conversations. Approved Document M accessibility and Approved Document B fire safety sit at the centre of every design, alongside clear manifestation on glazing under Approved Document K.
Public sector clients often work to formal procurement and specification requirements. Quotations can be provided against your specification or schedule of works, with method statements, risk assessments, product data and test evidence supplied as requested. Prices are guides until confirmed by a free site survey of the actual building. Work is programmed around opening hours and services to the public, with segregated work areas, clear escape routes and out-of-hours working where needed so that residents can continue to use the building safely throughout.

Can you quote against our specification?
Yes. Quotations can be prepared against a client's specification, drawings or schedule of works, with product data, test evidence, risk assessments and method statements supplied as required. A site survey is still recommended so that the quotation reflects actual site conditions.
How do you make interview rooms private?
Interview rooms need both acoustic and visual privacy. Acoustic stud or double glazed partitions with sealed doors and ceiling void barriers reduce sound transfer, while privacy film or blinds give visual privacy. Specify the door to the same acoustic level as the walls around it.
Can work be done while a public building stays open?
Usually, yes. Work areas are segregated from public areas, escape routes are kept clear and noisy tasks can be scheduled out of hours. The programme is agreed with the building manager to keep services to the public running safely throughout the works.
