How much do partition repairs & maintenance cost?
The visit price covers survey, labour and minor adjustments; replacement glass, doors, closers or blind units are quoted as parts on top once the fault is identified. Typical lead time: typically within 1–2 weeks. Guide prices, supply and install — fixed after a free survey.
Why choose partition repairs & maintenance?
Partitions are installed and then mostly forgotten until something goes wrong. Doors start to drop and catch on the floor, closers slam or stop latching, patch locks loosen, integral blinds jam and seals perish, letting sound through. Glass gets chipped by trolleys or cracked by an impact. Left alone, many of these faults become safety issues: a door that slams can trap fingers, and damaged toughened glass can fail without warning. A survey visit identifies the cause and what is needed to put it right.
Repairs start with a visit in which we inspect the partitions, adjust and fix what can be done straight away, and quote for any parts. Common jobs include replacing cracked panels, re-hanging and adjusting doors, replacing floor springs and closers, re-sealing joints, refitting tracks and repairing or replacing blind mechanisms. We can work on most partition systems, including older ones where the original installer is no longer around. Planned maintenance visits can be arranged for busy offices with many doors.
Faults found, not guessed
A survey visit identifies the actual cause, whether a worn closer, dropped hinge or loose track, so you pay to fix the problem rather than replace parts at random.
Safety restored
Slamming doors, damaged glass and missing manifestation are addressed promptly, reducing the risk of injury and the liability that comes with known defects.
Most systems covered
We work on a wide range of partition systems, including older installations where the original installer is no longer available.
Planned servicing
Regular maintenance visits for busy offices keep doors closing properly and seals working, extending the life of the partitions you already own.

What regulations and practical points apply?
Damaged toughened glass should be treated as unsafe, since chips at the edge can lead to sudden failure; cordon off the area until it is replaced. Replacement glass must meet the same safety and impact classification as the original and carry manifestation under Approved Document K. Repairs to fire-rated partitions and doors must use the system's tested components; substituting a closer, hinge or seal can invalidate the rating. Under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, fire doors in workplaces must be maintained in efficient working order. In leased buildings, check whether the landlord or the tenant is responsible for the partition.
How is it installed?
We start with a survey visit, booked at a time to suit the office. The technician inspects the partition, makes safe any damaged glass, adjusts doors, closers and tracks where possible, and records faults needing parts. Parts are ordered, typically within one to two weeks for standard items, and fitted on a return visit. Glass replacement usually takes a few hours per panel. Most repairs cause little disruption, with only the affected room out of use briefly.

Partition Repairs & Maintenance FAQs
How much do partition repairs cost?
Partition repairs typically cost £250–£1,500 per visit, excluding VAT. That covers survey, labour and minor adjustments. Replacement glass, doors, closers or blind units are quoted as parts on top once the fault is identified. We confirm the price after the survey visit.
Can you replace a single cracked glass panel in a partition?
Yes. We measure the opening, order a replacement panel to the same specification and fit it on a return visit, usually within one to two weeks. The damaged panel is made safe or removed on the first visit. Manifestation is reapplied to the new glass.
Why does my office glass door slam?
Usually because the floor spring or overhead closer has worn or lost adjustment, or the door has dropped on its pivot. A technician can often adjust it on the first visit. If the closer has failed, it is replaced. A slamming door can trap fingers, so do not leave it.
Can you repair integral blinds in double glazed partitions?
Often, yes. Depending on the system, the blind can be reached by removing a glazing bead or the inner pane, then repaired or replaced. Some older systems need the whole blind unit replaced. We assess the system on the survey visit.
Do you repair partitions installed by other companies?
Yes. We work on most partition systems, including older installations where the original installer is no longer available. Some parts may be specific to a system and need sourcing, which we advise on at the survey visit. Fire-rated systems need their own tested components.
